One of the things about never having people over any longer is that, in my home at least, we have started using the fancy plates and cutlery ourselves.

It may be months until the lockdown regulations ease up, and we can have a dinner party with a clean conscience, so hey, we’re treating ourselves to the good stuff.

Who knows, maybe we’ll buy some other premium homeware goodies to spice things up, and if you’re thinking along the same lines, we have good news.

Vendange, one of South Africa’s premier homeware, gifting and décor stores, is giving all 2oceansvibe readers 15% off their online purchases, until midnight this Sunday (July 26).

Just enter the discount code ‘2OCEANSVIBE’ at checkout, and you’re good to go.

The full range of homeware is extensive, and includes cheese and baguette boards, wine and champagne accessories, basket ware, glassware, leather bags, food accessories, beachwear, and general décor and gifting.

The round barrel lid cheeseboard, made from recycled wine barrels, is one of their bestsellers. Red wine stains are still evident in some of the boards, so you know it’s authentic:

Great, now I’ll spend all day thinking about cheese.

To be fair, that’s most days.

A 12-piece Laguiole fork and knife set, housed in a wooden box, for really fancy occasions? Why you shouldn’t have:

At some stage, you’ll be headed back to the beach – how about these Dodo Navy shorts?

There is also a wide range of leather items available, including this Ava Cross Body bag:

Candles? Yeah, no bother – find the full Madame Luna range here:

I know it seems like a lifetime away, but there will come a time when we can once again purchase alcohol.

Until then, sort yourself out with an Eva Solo eight-bottle wine rack:

None of us know what is to come, but I would suggest buying more than eight bottles of wine when the alcohol sales ban falls away.

It never hurts to stock up, just in case.

The above is just a quick glance at the Vendange range, which covers just about everything a home could need, other than the aforementioned wine itself.

Vendange does have physical stores across the country, and will be opening another in Cape Town’s Lifestyle on Kloof centre in October, but the 15% discount applies only to the online store.

Head here, enter the discount code ‘2OCEANSVIBE’ at checkout, and you’ll get 15% off all purchases until midnight on Sunday (July 26).

In addition to the discount, you can also pay for all items on Vendange using PayJustNow, the ‘buy now, pay later’ service.

Select PayJustNow as your payment option at checkout, and pay your purchase off over three months, with zero interest.
