Winter does not have to be bleak.
Not with this extravagant culinary delight in Franschhoek giving us a fantastical truffle experience alongside some of the region’s best wines.
Anthonij Rupert Wine is nearing the start of its two-month truffle season, which means there’s no better time to experience these rare delicacies at their freshest and most flavourful.
For the cold months of June and July, you can cosy up for one of the four hosted dining experiences that will be showcasing the winemakers’ very own Black Perigord truffles.
That’s right, there’s a special truffle forest on Anthonij Rupert’s Altima estate, and the sumptuous treasures can be enjoyed as part of a four-course set menu:
The truffle-infused menu will be paired with the delicious Cape of Good Hope Wines, which are also from the Altima estate.
Take a peek at the lavish menu – a true celebration of terroir and taste:
Tagliatelle or Black Angus brisket – wow, I’m torn.

The cost is R1 200 per guest, which is inclusive of all food, paired wines, and gratuity.
