Tuesday’s shark attack in Plettenberg Bay claimed the life of Bruce Wolov.

The attack occurred at Sanctuary Beach (above), on the Robberg side of Robberg 5, according to the NSRI statement, with eyewitness reports alerting rescue services.

The attack was reported to the NSRI at around 2:09PM. A minute later, hiker Gunnar Sigge captured footage of a shark near Sanctuary Beach. It is not known if that was the shark responsible for the attack on Wolov.
