Ever left something behind in an Uber? You’re not alone. From a Viking drinking horn to Ozempic and even a live turtle, riders managed to forget it all last year.
As Mercury finally comes out of retrograde, which astrologists say impacts forgetfulness, Uber is back with their ninth-annual Uber Lost & Found Index – a yearly snapshot of the most commonly forgotten and most unique items left behind in Ubers.
The top three spots for most commonly left behind items went to phones, keys, and wallets, and the winner of the most forgetful city was New York, with the most forgetful day being October 26.
The most popular hours of the day when lost items were reported were 11:00 PM and 12:00 AM, which is prime time for wrapping up a night out. It seems the later the night, the looser the grip.
But as usual, riders don’t just forget the essentials, they’ve left behind everything from a Ghostbusters ghost trap and sticky boobs to 175 burgers in the backseat.
