He has signalled his intention to sell [the house], but nothing has been done proactively to start the process.
Yesterday it was reported that Pistorius plans on selling his prized racehorses to cover his legal fees.
Pistorius’ legal team has filed an application appealing some of his bail conditions, and if they are successful, Pistorius will be allowed access to his home in Silverwoods as soon as the investigation has been completed to allow for him to move forward with the sale of the property.
Pistorius’ legal team also asked that his travel ban be lifted, arguing that Magistrate Nair did not find Pistorius to be a flight risk, and therefore this condition should be voided.
Medupe Simasiku said:
We will present our case in court … we will oppose the application as we did the bail.
No date has been set for the conditions of bail appeal hearing, but the possibility of Pistorius fleeing will no doubt be playing on the mind of the presiding magistrate when the hearing does commence.
