Man Cleared Of Sexual Assault Charges, Has “Sexsomnia”

A Glostrup court said on Wednesday that a Danish man had been acquitted of molesting two 17 year old girls due to the man suffering from a rare sleep disorder known as "sexsomnia."

A Glostrup court said on Wednesday that a Danish man had been acquitted of molesting two 17 year old girls due to the man suffering from a rare sleep disorder known as “sexsomnia.”

The man had reportedly fondled the two girls while they were sleeping in his suburban Copenhagen apartment after a party in 2011 while he was asleep.

The court cleared the 31 year-old male of his sex crimes, citing that he suffered from “sexsomnia”, a condition in which a person engages in sexual activity while sleeping.
