On Friday Fox News had a bit of a blooper. The picture above is evidence of what they are calling the most embarrassing interview the network has ever aired. But a study by Fairleigh Dickinson University disagrees. Over the past few years, numerous interviews, mostly starring Bill O’Reilly, have been just as bad as the error seen above.
We have chosen the top five worst Fox News interviews for your viewing pleasure.
1. Bill O’Reilly interviews Jeremy Glick, 2003
O’Reilly resorts to shouting, “Shut up! Shut up!” at Jermey Glick. He then cuts Glick’s mic off “out of respect” for Glick’s father.
2. Geraldo Rivera vs. Bill O’Reilly, 2007
What was meant to be a segment on illegal immigrants with Geraldo Rivera ended up in a yelling match between him and O’Reilly. Ending with quotes like “You want anarchy! You want open-border anarchy!” being made at Rivera.
3. Bill O’Reilly vs. a high school student, 2007
O’Reilly criticises Boulder High School’s sex and drug education conference, but when a student from the school pulls out the original transcript and quotes it, things get awkward.
4. Fox News calls Mr. Rogers an “evil, evil man,” 2007
Fox News anchors blame beloved icon Mr. Rogers (who died in 2003) for everything wrong with Millennials today.
5. Lee Camp on “Fox & Friends,” 2008
The interview was then abruptly cut short when comedian Lee Camp ended a segment on Mike Huckabee by raising an unrelated point about Fox News itself.
