GM announced another massive international recall of 1.5 million cars due to malfunctioning of electric-power steering. This announcement comes as GM CEO Mary Barra prepares to testify at a US congressional hearing about a previous recall of the manufacturer’s cars which was sparked following a spate of ignition failures.
At least 13 deaths have been linked to the ignition switch malfunctions, and led to GM recalling 2.6 million Cobalts, Ions and other small cars in February.
