Amid extensive speculation about just how cold it is going to get, iol have suggested that it may well and truly snow in the cape tonight or early tomorrow morning.
Gale force winds, strong interior winds, heavy rain, flooding, very cold conditions, snowfalls and rough seas can be expected in places.
Flooding is expected over the Cape Metropole, Cape Winelands and Overberg.
Snowfalls are expected over the western high ground of the Western Cape and southern high ground of the Northern Cape on Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Even if we don’t get the chance to catch the snowflakes in our eyelashes and hear that magical hushed sound of snow falling, it is DEFINITELY going to be a VERY cold night tonight folks. Stock up on blankets and bring out your warmest woollies for tomorrow morning!
