Following the reveal of James Franco and Seth Rogan’s upcoming movie, The Interview, everyone expected North Korea to be a little upset, but they’re apparently pretty furious about it, and have gone as far to call the film an “act of war”.
The Interview sees the two stars, playing news reporters, going on an adventure to kill North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
In a statement published by the state-run KCNA news agency, a government spokesman said that there will be a “merciless” retaliation against the US if the movie is released.
The act of making and screening such a movie that portrays an attack on our top leadership… is a most wanton act of terror and act of war, and is absolutely intolerable.
That’s rich, coming from the government that allows their soldiers to shoot targets painted as US soldiers.
If ever there was a catalyst for North Korea to declare war, who would’ve guessed a Seth Rogan movie could be it?
