US Police seem to be making the headlines for all the wrong reasons these days.
First it was the woman being assaulted on the side of the highway, then a police man’s choke-hold which killed a man, and now, a video has emerged of three cops stomping on the head of a suspect they chased down.
The incident itself is three years old, but video is said to have only been passed on to the authorities last year.
The video shows three officers in Bridgeport, Connecticut, kicking and attacking a motionless man on the ground.
All three officers seen in the video, which surfaced in 2013, were placed on paid administrative duty pending a police internal affairs investigation. NAACP leaders at the time called on police officials to arrest and fire the officers.
Orlando Lopez-Soto (the victim) pleaded guilty to drug and gun charges in July 2012 and was sentenced to five years in prison.
