It could be a scene straight out of Hollywood. This giant semi-truck has set a new Guinness World record by jumping over a speeding Lotus F1 race car.
The video was created as an ad for EMC technology, who are technology partners for Lotus F1 team.
Mike Ryan and Martin Ivanov are the experienced stunt drivers who took part, and after performing in various ‘James Bond’ and ‘Fast and Furious’ films, there’s no surprise they managed to pull off this world record stunt.
The Lotus team now owns an impressive new world record, as the F1 transporter managed to clear the longest ever truck jump at 83 feet and seven inches. At least they have this to be proud of, after languishing down in 8th position in the F1 Constructers Championship for 2014.
