Surely Not? These Malaysian Teenage Girls Might Go To Jail For This Video

Remember that girl who got pulled on stage at the Robbie Williams concert at Knebworth and how ecstatic she was? Imagine after all that she had to go to prison. So not cool.

Well this is a perfect example of when good times go really bad.

A few teenagers went to see Korean pop band B1A4 in Kuala Lumpur and, as in any Justin Bieber fantasy story, they got called on stage. To them it was innocent, an experience they could tell their friends.

Unfortunately, because they live in a Muslim-majority country, they are in a bit of trouble.

In such a climate, a video of young women being publicly wooed by singers is bound to cause a bit of a stir, though it seemed to have made the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) and its director, Paimuzi Yahya, particularly furious.

Come on. They’re kids, and any kid anywhere in the world would want to be called up onto the stage of their pop idol.

Muslims across the country have reacted harshly, and are calling on the girls to be prosecuted. Ridic.
