Hey, remember that bunch of mates who lived in awesome New York loft apartments, in spite of the fact that one was a waitress and the other a truly awful musician?
Yes, I’m referring of course to Friends, the show which catapulted the six actors to instant stardom and netted them a reported $1 million each per episode for the final season. Now in the 11 years since the show finished there has not been a single full cast reunion, which is something of a surprise considering the show’s almost cult-like following.
So who or what is preventing this from happening? Courteney Cox, the obsessive-compulsive Monica on the show, had this to say to Huffington Post:
We’ve not really had a ‘Friends’ reunion,” Cox said. “We’ve gotten about 80 percent there, but there’s always one person who flakes at the end. I’m not going to name names, but it may not be Schwimmer.
Cox also insisted that a “Friends” movie isn’t going to happen, saying, “Dear Lord, let it go people. We’re not doing it.” But she did joke that Monica would get her own spin-off. “Monica’s going to do a movie, just not the whole ‘Friends.'”
Well at least there’s something for the fanatics to cling to.
