One-handers are usually a thing of beauty (minds out the gutter), especially if you can maintain a calm nonchalance throughout. Taking a catch whilst holding a beer, you’ve done well. Taking a catch whilst holding a baby, that’s worthy of a guys night out in your honour if you ask me.
Sure you’re dicing with danger but it is one way to ensure your infant gets its fifteen seconds of fame. Mashable reports:
One dad flexed his new reflex at the Cubs game at Wrigley Field on Tuesday, snatching a foul ball hit by Cubs pitcher Jason Hammel from Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez. But he did it barehanded, while holding his totally chill baby who was feeding at the time.
So did people bow at his feet and sing his praises? Not exactly.
There will always be one. It’s a high-five from us at 2OV, although you’re still coming in second behind the greatest beer catch of all time.
