Back in June, POTUS belted out a beautiful version of Amazing Grace at the funeral of Reverend Clementa Pinckney, a South Carolina pastor and state senator who was murdered at Charleston’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. He ended his eulogy by singing the hymn and all in attendance joined in.
Now, Coldplay’s latest album, A Head Full of Dreams will feature President Barack Obama. Frontman Chris Martin explained the following:
[The album] have a tiny clip of the President singing ‘Amazing Grace’ at that church because of the historical significance of what he did and also that that song being about, ‘I’m lost but now I’m found.’
The album will come out on December 4, but before then just hear Obama’s rendition in the video above – it seems he could definitely become a pastor when he retires from the White House.
