WINNER ANNOUNCED: Win 2 Tickets To Saturday’s ‘Baconfest’ – All You Can Eat Bacon For 5 Hours

There's a Baconfest in Cape Town this weekend and if you want to see how much bacon you can eat in 5 hours, check it out.

When it comes to bacon and its lovers, each affair has its own tantalising turn on. So we asked you for your favourite recipes and boy did you deliver. Our chosen winner is Adrian Ciesielski. Standby for further information:

Bacon is the stuff that Hercules was grown on, the best recipe I have ever used or needed was this, and it’s bliksiem easy.

Wrap bacon around a singular date, use a toothpick to secure it, and pop it in the oven (200 degrees) until it’s crispy and ready. You can make as many as you want, knock yourself out.

The beauty of this is that the sugar crystallises in the process, and so you have a caramel edge to this highly natural sugary protein snack.

How much bacon can you eat in five hours? You never really get a chance to try test yourself, do you? Not to worry, we got you covered. This Saturday, La Bottega Restaurant in Woodstock will play host to the annual Baconfest where the chefs will be offering you nine dishes inspired by bacon.
