Using the ‘fighting fire with fire’ tactic – minus the radiation – Tokyo has taken to the skies to snare rogue drones. How? By deploying its own drones with nets to catch them in. It looks like a weird flying spider.
The safety measure comes after a drone with traces of radiation landed on the roof of the prime minister’s office in April. The aim is stop suspicious-looking drones from flying into protected airspace near government buildings.
