Ha. So last night, someone in control of the Red Cross Twitter feed accidentally posted “Ryan found two more 4 bottle packs of Dogfish Head’s Midas Touch beer…when we drink we do it right #gettngslizzerd. ” Then the internet found out & made a meme of it, resulting in a flood of Red Cross blood donations.
The post was deleted with in an hour of coming up, but with 268,000 followers that sort of thing doesn’t exactly get swept up under the rug. Enter whoever is running Dogfish Beer’s Twitter account, who deserves a raise; they encouraged all craft beer fans to donate to Red Cross, and to tweet about it with the #gettngslizzerd hashtag, turning the thing viral. Red Cross gets lots of blood, people drink lots of beer, everybody’s happy.
