At the beginning of this week, a German adventurer’s body was found on his yacht just off the coast of the Philippines. Photos revealed a perfectly mummified body lying across a desk, as if he were sleeping. Now, an autopsy has revealed that Manfred Fritz Bajorat, from Germany, may have only died a week earlier.
Initially, it was suggested that he died seven years ago as he has not been in contact with anyone he knows since 2009. But nope:
The cause of death is acute myocardial infarction based on the autopsy by (the) regional crime laboratory.
The German national is estimated to have been dead for more or less seven days.
Yet no one knows how the body would mummify in such a short space of time.
