SA Viewers Are Freaking Out Over This 45 Second Gay Kiss TV Ad [Video]

We can't help who we're attracted to, and it's unfair that people try and dictate that. This TV ad has definitely set tongues wagging.

For a whopping 45 seconds, two dudes have a make out session at the dinner table in front of the one dude’s pops.

It’s a great act of courage, coming out to your parents when being gay is still such an unnecessary taboo.

But now, imagine how gay people feel when South African viewers are angry over the advert promoting safe male sex. Check the ad below:

Named “Kiss”, a number of broadcasters have reportedly refused to air it. iol explains:

The advertisement was commissioned by wethebrave.co.za, an initiative by the Anova Health Institute in conjunction with the Elton John Aids Foundation.

The advert which was released on February 21, is the first television ad to be aired locally showing two men kissing.

Social media users are calling the advert “inappropriate”, “offensive”, and “disgusting” as concerns about family viewing have been raised.

You wouldn’t think we have a massive HIV/Aids pandemic in South Africa and, to be honest, I’d rather see those two kiss then that awful Vodacom advert that has been spoiling every rugby game since Valentine’s Day.
