Enter Sir Rod, which is probably what he has been calling his dangly bits for the best part of 50 years.
Yesterday saw the 71-year-old pop star officially knighted during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace, Prince William doing the honours.
Stewart said he was on cloud nine, the knighthood in recognition of his services to music and charity.
More from Sky News:
[Rod] said of meeting Prince William: “We talked about music and he said: ‘It’s great that you’re still going’ and I said: ‘I have to – I’ve got eight children!’.
“He congratulated me on my long career – and I said how happy this made me. I just wish my mum and dad had been here to see it.”
Talking about his future tour, the former Faces frontman said fans could expect a “fantastic night” and joked that there were seven women in his new band – “more than there are in the White House”.
Not a good look when a 71-year-old musician has a full head of hair and the prince is almost bald.
More from Rod, including a pun on one of his more famous songs:
“I’ve led a wonderful life and have had a tremendous career thanks to the generous support of the great British public.
“This monumental honour has topped it off and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I thank Her Majesty and promise to ‘wear it well’.”
Ah, good times.
