Not a great deal is known about this morning’s shooting, but Jacaranda FM have this to say:
An attempted cash-in-transit heist has led to a dramatic shootout between security guards and an unknown number of suspects in Ferndale in Randburg on Tuesday morning.
The police’s Mavela Masondo says the van was targeted as it went to pick up cash.
The video was first shared via this tweet from @MissNPG, who added:
The Fortuner [sic] rammed into the Bakkie (cash in transit car). The white small car was also the bad guys. Thank God the security guys in the Cash in transit bakkie are still alive

That is like something out of a bad movie.
It is also reported, via EWN, that the shooting happened outside a nursery school, and parents are now fetching their children.
Police are saying around 20 suspects in three vehicles targeted a coin transit van this morning.
One suspect was shot dead by security guards, while the rest managed to flee with an undisclosed amount of cash.
