Just when you thought science would erase religion, the two have combined in a weird way.
Virtual reality is changing the way we interact with reality, and it’s also changing the way that people interact with religion.
Hundreds of thousands of people worldwide have opted out of attending church in the real world, in favour of virtual reality or online churches.
Apparently, it’s easier and eliminates the shame of face to face interaction with judgy parishioners.
According to CNN, these virtual churches allow people to meet up online, sing songs and read the Bible.
Sounds like the most boring thing you can do with virtual reality, but each to their own. You can skip ahead to the four-minute mark to get to the good stuff:
#blessed.
