In an emotional speech on Friday, Theresa May announced that she will be resigning from the position of Prime Minister, effective June 7, 2019.
It’s about bloody time.
While half of the internet tries to process an uncharacteristic display of emotion from May – she kinda cried, though not for the reasons she should – the rest of them are focused on another person who stood at the podium outside Downing Street.
The sound engineer.
Here’s Mashable:
Prior to May’s departure speech, a sound engineer was caught smiling at the camera. Not one to miss anything, the good people of Twitter were quick to screenshot this cheerful chap’s beaming smile and declare him our new PM.
Before we head over to Twitter, let’s get a look at this guy in action:
Twitter users think that his mic straightening skills could sort out Britain:
If we go deep down the memory hole back to what feels like a million years ago, Brexit started because the British people thought it would be a good idea to vote ‘leave’.
With that in mind, we await the inauguration of sound technician guy.
Long may he serve.
