If you’re having a tough day in the office, this might cheer you up.
Live reporting can be a dangerous and demanding game. One look at the reporters who brave the elements to bring you live coverage of a hurricane will confirm this.
Then there are the unnecessary inconveniences.
For Russian sports reporter Evgeny Evnevich, that inconvenience took the form of a sprinkler inside a stadium that went off halfway through a live broadcast.
According to Mashable, he said the following and powered through it:
“I’m going to be wet now, cause they’ve started to water the field,” he said, as translated by Sputnik News. “That’s why I will try to speak as fast as I can.”
…the sprinklers soaked him like he was in the front row at Sea World, flattening his coiffed hair with a power spray directly to the noggin.

Director: “Just ignore it, keep going… another 30 seconds or so…”

When asked why he stayed in that particular spot, he responded with a simple “It was good light!”
That’s some serious commitment.
