Rupert Murdoch is still going strong despite being 88-going-on-biltong.
He and his wife, former model and partner to Mick Jagger, Jerry Hall, dated for only four months before he popped the question back in 2016.
I guess when you’re living on borrowed time and insane amounts of money, you don’t mess around.
Now the happy couple has added an £11,25 million (around R215 million) palace in the Chilterns, England, to their massive estate.
The country house (mansion) was formerly a retreat for poets Algernon Charles Swinburne and Lord Tennyson.
It has maintained much of that old, 19th-century style, reports the Daily Mail.
Let’s look around.
Their new home, built in the 1700s, boasts an infinity pool, library, ballet studio, and 11 bedrooms, each with a bathroom – an extremely unusual feature for a listed property, according to the estate agents handling the sale.
As well as the infinity pool, the house grounds play host to three cottages each of which have their own private access and parking so as not to encroach on the privacy of the main house
There are also three annexes – each with a gated entrance – in the 26 acres of grounds, providing accommodation for staff or guests. A library is filled with shelves of books.
Jerry Hall lived in the mansion that she previously occupied with Mick Jagger. A clause in their divorce stipulated that she had to move out if she ever remarried.
I’m sure she’s having the last laugh now.
It’s a beautiful property, I’ll give them that.
Must be nice.
