Just A Herd Of Horses Galloping Down The N2 In Durban [Video]

Trucks weren't the only obstacle on the roads for motorists travelling along the N2 near the Umhlali offramp in KZN, yesterday.

You know how it goes.

You’re late, and traffic has been a nightmare, and then there are all of those horses running rampant on the N2.

Classic Wednesday.

That was the vibe yesterday on the N2 highway northbound in Umhlali near Salt Rock on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast, when motorists came across a herd of horses running wild.

According to IOL, an animal rescue worker in Umhlali said that they had escaped from a paddock at a nearby farm.

Behold the majesty and keep the sound on – worth it.

Animals are easily spooked when confronted with loud sounds, and especially from trucks, car hooters, and traffic noises.

The stress of being out on the road caused the horses to panic and flee.

Concerned motorists contacted the relevant authorities and the situation was handled.

More from that animal rescue officer:

“Our community raced to support and help get the horses to safety,” she said.

“It was an emotional but heart-filling moment to see the love from humans today to help them. So many people came to help.”

The horses are now safely at home, and happy to be back, away from the chaos.
