During Donald Trump’s rise to the top and four years in office, nailing an impersonation of POTUS number 45 became a popular pastime right around the world.
Alec Baldwin starred on Saturday Night Live, Anthony Atamanuik landed an entire TV show of his own, and even the Dalai Lama joined in.
Surely, by now, everybody who can rock a decent impression has gone public? Enter Jamie Foxx and his appearance on the Rap Radar podcast.
As part of the promo work for his vampire film, Day Shift, where he stars alongside Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco, Foxx decided it was time to unleash his inner Donald.
The actor didn’t disappoint, with a little extra insight via Deadline:
The bit was a reference to Trump commuting the prison sentence of Michael “Harry-O” Harris, cofounder of Death Row Records, the leading gangsta rap label of the 1990s. Snoop Dogg was influential in the lobbying for the release.
Foxx has an Oscar to his name so perhaps we shouldn’t be too surprised that he has this up his sleeve:
