News broadcasts, albeit informative, are often boring affairs lacking the flair that many viewers hope for, that is at least until Cassetteboy gets hold of a copy. Their latest ‘remix’ features the BBC’s George Alagiah reporting on issues that would make any political pundit cringe.
Cassetteboy is the stage name of the remix-duo Mark Bolton and Steve Warlin. They have been collaborating musically and on video remixes since early 2000 and in that time have racked up a more than healthy amount of YouTube hits.
Their latest offering, “Cassetteboy vs The News” is a masterful feat of re-editing, comprising footage of BBC anchor George Alagiah, as well as one or two other reporters. Amongst the ‘headlines’ mentioned; the BBC winning a battle to publish child pornography, city bankers wearing balaclavas and a recommendation from Scotland to drink copious amounts of alcohol.
The video which was uploaded yesterday is already just shy of 90 000 hits.
