Comedian, actor, writer, director and presenter, Rob Van Vuuren, needs no introduction. Tonight, Rob will undergo severe comedic treatment at the hands of his colleagues and friends. The event, taking place at Mercury Live in Cape Town, promises to leave your stomach muscles in agony. Details after the jump.
Hosted by the ever-witty Martin Evans, Rob will be subjected to a roasting by his fellow comedians and friends.
The lampooning of Rob Van Vuuren is happening because it was Rob’s birthday last month, and it’s necessary to honour the man who has given so much to the industry.
The roster of roasters includes the likes of Louw Venter (otherwise known as Corne from Corne and Twakkie), Deep Fried Man (that guitar wielding comic that always wears a hat), Paul “Snoddie” Snodgrass, Siv Ngesi, and George van der Spuy from Taxi Violence.
Tickets are R50, and doors open at 20h00, with the show due to commence at 21h00.
You can buy your tickets at the door, or you can plan ahead and get them HERE.
If you’re really clever, you’ll send an email to mercury@mweb.co.za, and book yourself a table.
