So you live in the fair Cape and are looking for something lekker to do this Saturday that doesn’t involve hiking a mountain or lazing on the beach? Fear not, we have you guys covered and this one promises to be a goody.
For one day only, that day being this Saturday 21st March, you can head to the Constantia Waldorf School on Spaanschemat River Road in Constantia and treat yourself to a fantastic day out. It’s the Constantia Waldorf Fair – think water sliding, skateboarding, human foosball and Parkour. Too hectic for you? Then chill out in the acoustic lounge with unplugged music and fantastic coffee.
Make sure you enjoy the main stage show featuring The Taros, Tavarua, the Liminals and Jungle Theatre or slip into the magic show and laugh your socks off with comedian Rob van Vuuren, he of ‘Corne and Twakkie’ fame.
Partake in the fun activity stalls and browse amongst the beautiful craft stalls, snacking on artisanal food and homemade goodies. We should also mention the rumours going around that Luke Dale-Roberts, one of SA’s most celebrated chefs and owner of much-loved ‘The Test Kitchen’, might pop up at the boerie roll stand at some stage which should get you foodies dribbling from the mouth.
So what else do you need to know? The fun kicks off at 11am and will run through until 5pm, with tickets costing just R30 for adults and R10 for the kiddies under 12. You can check out their website HERE, as well as Twitter and Facebook to get all the latest news.
