You wouldn’t expect me to write about this as I am always the one to bring you Kardashian/Jenner news (I’m really bad at rock-paper-scissors), and I actually find them fascinating – in a car crash sort of way – but here it is:
KardBlock.
Oh yes, kids. You no longer have to keep up with the Kardashians if you don’t want to. Much like that app Unbaby.Me, which blocked pictures on social media of your friends babies and replaced them with bacon and the like, KardBlock will actually keep away the “onslaught of Kardashian-related nonsense” in your life.
The program is still in the beta testing phase and was created by Chameleon.la and James Shamsi, who don’t love the reality TV family.
This, from their website:
We’re tired of logging on to any site and seeing stories of the Kardashian family overshadow REAL news. We don’t care about how Kanye & Kim didn’t care when Amy Schumer ‘fell over’. We don’t care about who the Kardashians are or aren’t sleeping with. We don’t care that Kim dyed her hair blonde. We don’t care about the Kardashians.
We do however care about raising awareness of transexuality, the one benefit of the Kardashians. We do care about raising attention and money for the thousands that died in Nepal. We do care about the tens of thousands being slaughtered by ISIS. We care that other people care more about, or know more about the Kardashians than these issues.
Apparently they’re also developing an app for blocking news about Justin Bieber.
