A software glitch in the iPhone 4 has rendered its alarm useless since New Year’s Day. The latest reports indicate the glitch has not yet been fixed amid fears many iPhone fanatics are teetering on the edge of a coma. If you know someone with an iPhone 4, give them a call. They need you right now.

I’m not sure if you caught the live financial indicators on the right-hand side of the page, but the Rand is absolutely KILLING it against the US Dollar. At the current rate, I’m renting movies from the US iTunes store at R26 a shot – and some of them haven’t even hit the circuit here in SA. Let me show you how.

We reported earlier that the Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village website had been subject to a hack by a member of the XtremeRoot.net educational hacking site, who went by the name of Legacy123. Legacy123′s hack has since been hacked, by someone using the cypher K141, and they’re not friendly.

The Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village’s website was hacked this morning by someone using the cypher “Legacy123″. Legacy left a cheery little Christmas note for the Cape Quarter Website admins, and a link to an offensive security hacking forum, xtremeroot.net. The Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village is the home of 2oceansvibe Radio’s studios.

I wanted to ease off telling you about all the amazing things my new MINI Countryman can do, as I didn’t want you to get MINI-lash. I know – it’s December, you’ve got this big pseudo-Christian consumerist monolith being forced down every available orifice imploring you to spend more money on This New Shiny Thing, and maybe you’re a little sick of that right now. I understand that. But believe me when I say that this is a freaking awesome advert.

On the whole, I try and stay away from jokes that hinge on understanding two languages, because usually those jokes are goddamned awful and I mean hey, Leslie Nielsen died a few days ago, show a little class. That said, today is Friday, and there exists a product called the Mophie ‘Juice Pack Plus.’

Many of you will be aware of the mobile application called Shazam, which allows your phone to identify nearly any song playing in close vicinity. Incredibly, we often get into deep chats about how Shazam works, never actually doing the obvious and asking Google. That’s why I’ve finally gone and done it – I’ve found it all out – Just like that!

Inventor Haidar Taleb is hitting two birds with one stone, sort of, by crossing all seven United Arab Emirates in a solar powered wheelchair to promote the use of renewable energy and raise awareness about causes for disabilities. Also, he’s going alone. And you can’t drink in most of the Emirates. And it’ll take 11 days. Road trip!

NASA recently released a couple of photos taken from inside the International Space Station with the newly-fitted Cuppola module, which is a big ol’ window looking down on earth. The ISS is essentially a fancy glass bottomed-boat. With attractive astronaut ladies in it. I’m not even kidding, look at the photo after the jump.
