You know you’re in Los Angeles when the hotel has a vending machine selling board shorts!
I’m staying at The Standard Hotel on sunset Boulevard, Hollywood. There are so many cool things about this palce, I wouldn’t know where to start. I can show you these images, I suppose. I guess, in a way, you could say that a picture is worth a hundred words?
Hmm….ja, that sounds good. Or maybe I should make it a THOUSAND words?
Yes, that’s what I’ll do. I think I’ll claim that one – “a picture is worth a thousand words”

I can also tell you that there is a glass box behind the reception desk, at about eye level – with a model lying inside it – just looking beautiful and playing on her laptop. All the time. They change them everyday. I’ll try get a pic for you.
In the meantime, check this out – they’re launching a new thing. It’s a boardshorts vending machine – a collaboration between Quicksilver and The Standard Hotel group.
