Chris Nolan, auteur behind the no-longer-embarassing Batman franchise, has started gearing up for the third installment of the rebooted series – The Dark Knight Rises. Apparently Nolan wants two female leads this time, just to rub it in Katie Holmes’ face.

The actresses apparently being considered are: Rachel Weisz, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley, all of whom should be known to you because they’ve been in a ton of films and are crazy attractive, and Naomi Watts & Blake Lively, known for King Kong and Gossip Girl respectively. As ever, Nolan is being pretty secretive about the film’s script, but apparently one lady is wanted to play another superfluous love interest, while the other is intended as a villain – whether this means Catwoman or some more obscure character remains to be seen.
