As you know, two naked people together in a photograph (okay, sometimes three or four) is called pornography. But 1 000 naked people snapped together equates to “art”. And Spencer Tunick has made an entire career out of doing just that. His latest picture features 1 000 naked Israelis posing in the Dead Sea – the ocean where everything floats…

It was his first Middle East mass shoot, and Israeli tourism officials hope the project will help draw attention to the Dead Sea in a competition to find the new Seven Wonders of the World. The Dead Sea is competing against 27 other natural sites around the world (including Table Mountain) in the finals of the New7Wonders of Nature online global campaign, after beating 440 other nominees.
