Tony Hawk was the first person ever to land a 900 on a skateboard. For the uninitiated, that means that he flew up the one side of a half-pipe and spun around 5 times (180 X 5 = 900). That’s pretty hot. He did that in 1999, and now a kid named Tom Schaar, who wasn’t even born then, has completed a 1080 – which is the same trick, with one more spin added (180 X 6 = 1080). It’s pretty phenomenal. Follow link to see the video. [image : gizmodo]
