This week is the 8th annual South African National Parks (SANParks) Week! If you hold a South African ID, you can visit any SANPark for free!
Check out your heritage this week by visiting a park near you.
Kruger National Park spokesperson, William Mabasa said:
A number of events have been lined up to encourage South African citizens to visit the park and experience the beauty.
He adds that nature conservation should be within reach for all citizens, as it is important to understand your culture and heritage.
Although park entry will be free this week, guided tours and other commercial activities will still have a fee associated with them.
Day visitors who have their green bar-coded ID document will be granted access, children under 16 don’t need proof of ID.
