The first launch of Virgin Galactic’s space flight is expected to happen within in the next three months. It’s launch will be the first commercial trip to space ever. With the historical moment soon approaching, billionaire entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson has set his sights on building hotels in space.

If the Virgin Galactic’s space flights prove to be commercially successful, Branson revealed there are numerous space related enterprises planned.

If we can get enough people wanting to fly we can start building Virgin hotels in space,” Branson said in an interview.

The company plans to build a space port at Abu Dhabi. Branson said this was several years away from realization. He also noted that it is expected to take three years before Virgin Galactic will see profits.
