Well I suppose this had to happen at some point. Oscar Pistorius’ publicist, Anneliese Burgess says that the Facebook page titled, ‘Oscar Pistorius Official’ has been asking people for money, ostensibly in support of the murder accused. Small problem, Oscar Pistorius Official is anything but.
Thus spake Annelise:
It has come to my attention that the impostor Facebook page has now added fraud to their activities. They are soliciting money from unsuspecting followers who have not yet come to understand that this page is run by an impostor pretending to be TeamOscar.
This Facebook page also claims that the @OscarHardTruth Twitter handle has been hacked and are directing people to an alternative twitter account… which they are now also fraudulently tweeting on behalf of TeamOscar.
In other news, Pistorius’ publicist used the phrase, “TeamOscar,” sincerely.
