    Here’s the rather unsurprising truth to something you’ve suspected all along:

    Commercial pilots and air hostesses hook up with strangers, have affairs and shag each other. Frequently.

    Let’s just state the obvious, and explain that if you are spending 95% of your time either in the sky or at a hotel in a foreign country during a lay over, chances are you’re living a pretty lonely lifestyle.

    Apparently the divorce rate of pilots is only second to the leader of divorce rates in all industries – Chefs.

    So the thing is – when you are basically ALWAYS out of town on one, long and never-ending business trip, as is the career of commercial airline staff, it ultimately takes steel-like resilience to avoid shagging someone, somewhere, at some point – who isn’t your wife.
