The internet is a tricky one to master. As soon as you think you know what you’re doing, you end up finding yourself so frustrated that you need to look at some kittens to calm yourself down.

Well, there are some handy tips to sharpening your Googling skills.

If you’re always trying to get to the meaning of a word, there’s a shortcut, so prepare to become a smart-ass by using the “define” prefix. Just type “define:” followed by the word you want and Google will take you straight to the definition.

Trying to find EXACTLY what you’re looking for can be tough, so if you want your exact words to be the search term, put your entire phrase in quotation marks. That’s right, those “bunny-ears” even help on the internet.

The search within a particular website, just type “site:” followed by the URL of the website you’d like to search. Then add your search terms.

And when it’s finally time to admit defeat and accept your incompetency with math, use Google. Just put in your problem into the search bar and let professor Google solve it in seconds.

There are a bunch of other really awesome tips to take your Google-prowess to the next level, but the general rule to remember is: if you can’t do it, Google probably can.

    The future is now.
