Following with the trend of embracing the sugar content of their drink and addressing the massive problem of obesity Coca-cola have released a new Coke: Life.
This drink will be recognisable by it’s green colour and it has reduced its sugar content.
Coca-Cola Life, first piloted in Argentina and Chile last year, is sweetened from natural ingredients rather than artificial sweeteners and will launch in the UK in the autumn. It is the first new Coca-Cola to be launched in the UK since the arrival of Coca-Cola Zero in 2006, a low-calorie version targeted at men.
While this sounds great and is certainly a positive step, the drink still contains more than 20g of sugar – roughly 25% of a child’s recommended daily allowance.
