Yes, it is that time of year again when we all have to start thinking about behaving like real grown ups for a few days and do our Income Tax submissions.
Important dates for you to add to your Hello-Kitty diary and get your mom (or your room-mate) to nag you about are the following:
- 1 July 2014 – Income tax returns to be issued by SARS for submission
- 30 September 2014 – Any income tax liability (money due to SARS) would be due to be paid (hopefully not applicable)
- 30 November 2014 – Manual income tax return deadline
- 31 January 2015 – eFiling income tax return deadline
A handy tip is that early submissions are processed faster and the whole process is smoother because most people only wake up (in a bland panic) to their tax returns right before the very last possible submission date.
