SA’s magazine for women, Grazia, have caused some allegedly intentional outrage following their tweet concerning finding a definition for the term “slut.” Jeepers creepers ladies… there’s being provocative then there’s this…
Obviously, their readers and followers were more than outraged at the magazines question. 17 hours later, the Magazine explained that this was part of a bigger article on shaming women, which they added they did NOT support. Problem is, by using this language and assuming that the concept exists you are engaging in shaming automatically.
Essential that we have this conversation, but really folks think about your campaigns a little more before you go and say things like this?
