Spelling – it gets the better of all of us at times, but when printing some text on 5,000 t-shirts, proof-reading is essential.
As part of the Freedom Ride bicycle race that took place in Johannesburg, riders wanted to celebrate the legacy of Mandela, but a bulk of shirts handed out featured an awkward spelling error.
The purpose of freedoom is to create it for others.
The organisers said the spelling was just a “a bit of a PR hiccup”, but the event was well attended and everyone has ironic shirts to take home now.
