Late pop singer Amy Winehouse has now been immortalised through a new statue in London, beehive hairstyle included.
Located in Camden, the bronze statue of the singer, who passed away in 2011 of alcohol intoxication, features a star of David necklace and a live red rose in her hair.
Winehouse’s mother and father, Janis and Mitch, were present at the unveiling of the statue, and Amy’s mother couldn’t be happier with the tribute.
I am pleased with how the statue turned out because you can see that it’s Amy. It is soon but it was beyond our control – events overtook events but we’re very proud of it. Camden is Amy’s place, it’s where she belongs.
