This makes me want to move my laptop onto the floor and work from the safety of zero feet above ground level. Because, oh my god, I would have hated to be one of these two window cleaners.
Juan Lopez and Juan Lizama were bust cleaning the windows of the One World Trade Center in New York. They had just reached the 69th floor when one of the cables of their cradle snapped, dipping them into a 75 degree angle.
They had to sway there for about 90 minutes, whilst firefighters and rescue teams cut a hole through the window glass, and then pulled them to safety.
One of the architects of the building got to watch the whole thing, coincidentally, from across the street.
