Bet You Haven’t Tried This Off-The-Charts Pizza Base

This blew my mind, it is easy, affordable and bloody delicious! You can even make a homemade pizza oven through this post...

Being the manly men that my housemates and I are, we recently decided to make our very own pizza oven.

I know – amazing, right? Who home makes actual pizza ovens these days?

We’re usually used to ordering the Rotherham from Butlers, because, well, we’re men, with some of the gals ordering the gluten and wheat free base. But, naturally, we were on the ‘home making’ high, and were out and about to find some crazy and outlandish pizzas to make. So, after some extensive research and a few clever little words from our female friends, we decided to go for it…

The cauliflower based pizza. Some of you might know all about it, but as a boertjie, this is a first for me, and was I blown away. It is incredible!!!

Here is a simple how to:

  • Take a head of cauliflower, drop it in the food processor and whizz that bad boy till it’s pretty finely grated.
  • Chuck the pulp in a microwave bowl, cover it with cling wrap and let it ride some waves for about 10min (or until soft)
  • Drain all the liquid through a sieve, and gently press with a wooden spoon to get all the excess liquid out
  • Break an egg into that and add parmesan to your liking
  • Flatten this out onto a pizza plate and bake until golden

Easy right? You will be amazed how well that tastes.
